C.S. co-hosts and co-produces Against the Grain. His previous radio experience includes co-producing the daily talk show Working Assets Radio with Laura Flanders on KALW-FM in San Francisco; co-hosting KPFA's daily investigative news program Flashpoints; and hosting the radio version of New California Media. He also did extensive research for two documentary series: the PBS series Ancestors in the Americas (about the history of Asians in the US) and the award-winning public radio series The DNA Files. C.S. has a B.A. in history from Brown University and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. His written work has appeared in publications as diverse as ColorLines, Turning Wheel, and IndyKids.
